Jay & Megan (Terrapin Beach Park session)

I'm a born and raised Maryland girl. Like many other natives to this great state, I have a weird obsession with our state flag, learned how to pick a crab before I went to Kindergarten and think Old Bay should be staple in your pantry. I love that this state boasts so many beautiful regions- from the mountains out west, to the shoreline along the Bay and the beaches beyond. Photography has only fueled my love for this state I call home and my appreciation for the beauty found here.

Jay and Megan have called Maryland home for the past few years while Jay has served in the U.S. Navy. They're high school sweethearts who adore one another and radiate pure joy whenever they're together. Spend 5 minutes around them and you're guaranteed to laugh and feel like you're talking with old friends. Although we love to tease them for how young they are, they have blended seamlessly into our small group community and have been such a blessing to us the past two years. We are going to miss them dearly as they prepare for a new adventure that's moving them back to Arizona this month. When Megan reached out about a session to celebrate their time here in Maryland, we immediately landed on Terrapin Beach Park as the perfect "Maryland-esque" backdrop for their session. Although the wind tried to blow us away more than a few times, the light was soft and golden and the laughs were plentiful the entire time. We also managed to grab a few pictures of Megan in her cap & gown to celebrate her upcoming college graduation!

Although the Maryland chapter of their story is coming to a close, we know God has so many more adventures and chapters waiting to be written for these two. Thank you for allowing me to capture this season and for the friendship, laughs and prayers we've shared the past two years. And if you're ever missing Maryland too much, we can always ship you some Old Bay ;-)
